What did you do to your Z this week?

Like an Imp then ;-)
Actually no, on a standard Imp the fan sucks air through the engine cover (grille) and blows it through the rad. Being rear engined that just means the fan blows in the direction of travel.
On my Sunbeam Imp Sport I reversed air flow through the rad using an electric fan and some aluminium ducting to ram air through from front to back. The fan only came on in traffic.
That Imp is in bits awaiting reston, once done it will be BMW powered.

On an Imp the air flows against the direction of travel - that's what I meant. So pulls air from the engine bay and pushes it forwards. I would have thought it scooped air from underneath and fed it through the rad and out of the back but no.

My n42 head has not been welded up but has had 0.5mm taken off it. Block was also decked by the same amount.

Jon - I notice you have done the head rear coolant mod. Can you share any experience on this?
it was easy enough to do, and it's been no trouble. It gets a fair bit of water flow because the hose heats up quickly when the thermostat opens. I assume it's doing its job, although I never had any practical problems with the previous head, so I can't swear to it making much difference!

Finished removing all the under seal!! All the underneath is sprayed with a couple of coats of grey primer so it looks prettier than it has done for a while. I'd removed the sound deadening inside the car previously but this weekend I've been getting rid of all the seam sealer. Oh my word, I had no idea there was so much of it...

Refitted the freshly painted battery bracket and took the Zed for a test drive yesterday. Price of fuel has come down at bit!

Waiting for the bonnet stay paint to harden before refitting it. Used a Revell 91 'Steel Metallic' enamel hobby paint in my airbrush. Looks like a decent match, but the rest of the engine bay is very far for mint anyway. Every little helps as they say...

While waiting for a new stereo to arrive I checked out the aerial and found it to be a bit lethargic and reluctant to fully extend and retract. So I used some silicone lubricant on a cloth to give it a good clean, my god it was filthy. After a few minutes of putting it up and down and cleaning inbetween it now runs smoothly all the way up and down again.

Always good to have a bit of lube to help your aerial go up and down!

New stereo arrived today so wired it all up and tested it. I've also removed the rear panels to get at the speakers. What a mess. Left speaker had a broken wire which explained why it didn't work, easy fix. The speaker mounting bracket had been butchered with two studs ground off and the whole thing bent out of shape. The right speaker was working but was not fixed in place, the only reason it hadn't dropped down into the wing was because the magnet was holding it against the bodywork.
The good news is that even with these dodgey speakers the stereo is decent for a cheap chinese dab effort. Once my new speakers arrive I'll work out how best to mount them, not sure what effect the side panels with have on the sound though.

Has anyone fitted front speakers in a 260Z without cutting door panels?
