It's Bloke called Lee who owns the red 240z and has panasport wheels on it

Fitted and rigorously tested my Quaife diff conversion this weekend. I can report no whining, clunking or other worrying mechanical noises. All nice and quiet, that’s a result. Now to give it a good thrashing, errr testing again.

Thanks. It’s pretty straight forward. Main points are to take your time and measure everything twice and if you can help it don’t mess with pinion height. It’s critical to ensure the diff carrier is correctly shimmed. I’ll do a thread on it later.

It's nice and clean under there Huw. What a shame the finned rear cover won't fit on an S30.

Fitted the new rad, fans and overflow/catch tank. All seems to be working as it should, fans kick in and bring the temp down very quickly.

Fitted front speakers. Left side was easy:


Right side less so. Fuse box is in the way so I temporarily put it here:

Held in place with cable ties for now. It will interfere with the foot rest I reckon but we'll see how it goes. It's temporary so can be moved.
Just need the new rears to turn up so I can judge how it sounds.

Are you running original stereo or an aftermarket model? Wondered as I plan to put speakers at the rear behind the plastic panels, but also a sound bar that sits between the inside trim of the rear light clusters?

Just a cheap Chinese dab stereo but with decent speakers the sound is very acceptable. I don't want to cut any panels so plan to put decent speakers in the standard rear positions behind the trim. The head unit is quite dark so I think it suits the interior.

This weeks big job... refitting the bonnet stay after repainting it with Revell 91 'Steel Metallic' enamel hobby paint in my airbrush. Then had to take it for a 40 mile run, just to make sure it was OK.
