Ta Rob, when you say you saw one, do you think there was more than one, it only read as a one off...??
Edited to say, google doesn't have much on this either which is where most research is done these days, but I did pick up the following which shows there may have been a least 2 of these...
". . to take an innocent 1200 Datsun Sunny Coupe, chop it around, install a Datsun 240Z engine tuned to Super Samuri specification, with triple Weber carburettors and so on, and develop it into an ultra-quick, yet docile, road car cum Super Saloon racer."
The project seemed to be progressing well until CR raced it in a Super Saloon race for the first time, when a wheel came adrift, tucked under, and launched the car into a spectacular series of rolls. That seemed to be the end of its racing career, although CR says that Spike Anderson then built another purely as a road car. "

Thanks for updating us about the new Updates, as it were, Jonathan.
The most interesting thing for me is that we have seen, for the first time, a published Register ( or at least, Spike's version of the ) genuine Samuri Registration numbers.
Might stir up a few arguments......and I might suggest that there's one missing..........
