Does that n42 have modified Chambers? N42 is one of the open chamber heads I think, so would be surprised to see 11.5:1 compression without pinking.

Wow, you chaps are high end for sure.
Need to sell some cars or parts to afford this kind of performance....think I will just live vicariously through you chaps.

That’ll be tasty....

All those DSI buts(mostly) are Kameari which is an extra bonus

Hehe, I'd rather not think about that. :)

I don't know. I'll ask. I know there are a lot of modifications both to the head and crank on this engine.
Very nice choice.
Thank you! Eiji sent me that video, sounds fantastic! 300 bhp too, nuts.

Well, my engine needs work. And I think this engine is pretty good value actually. It's a lot of cash to spend, but I get a complete solution that I can install myself.

Sorry for my lack of updates, but things as always takes longer than expected.

The engine is out of Eijis car in the US, and is being put in a crate. I've taken the opportunity to order BRE spoilers straight to Datsun Spirit, then are being shipped in the crate. Might as well since shipping is so expensive.

We are waiting for the radiator, which is being modified to DSI standards. I think that's it, after that it's being shipped.

I received the exhaust manifold straight from Japan, it's a work of art!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention: I drove the car over 2500 miles this summer. Not too bad! I used it as a daily for a couple of weeks, in general it was very reliable. Only some issues with old fuel hoses

I have Seans Zstory race sport. The primaries are too small for my ports, the Zstory is 40mm. Mine is probably sold to my friend in the US, he has a 280ZX, so we are trying to figure out if it will fit his car.

I will keep the rear section and incorporate that into the 3 inch ypipe on my new headers.

This is the one I have ordered through DSI. It has primaries of 48mm.

He's a strange kid then as for several engine specs he's agreed with the customer using one or other of my headers (this is before they've bought one from me). Good luck with the tranplantation and fitting. :)

Hi Sean,

Yes, he said the Zstory is fine for up to his stage 2 or 3. After that the ports gets too big on the cylinder head, they are ported to 48mm. I can't argue with that

I want a 2 pipe system like the 'works' cars, exiting at the back with the megaphones. I can still remember the noise from 1971!

There is a long delay from throttle fully open to full revs - must be a big 'load' on the engine.

I was looking at some pictures of this earlier today. Don't want to hijack the thread but can anyone explain what the "megaphones" are in this system. Sounds great but also something the police wouldn't enjoy...
