What a great sound.
Thanks Jon!
A friend of mine attended this trackday as well. He came to me a few days after and told me "there was a Datsun pushing as hell" :D He was quite impressed with your speed.
Cool! Did you know if I spoke to him? There were so many people who came up and looked and talked, it was almost crazy.

I do what I can :driving:I have around 250 laps now, been going since 2010. I just love that place, there is nothing like it.

I had to take it a little easy, I noticed some play in the inner tie rod ends after we arrived. One of the only things I haven't changed on the car. Driving the car with a little variable front toe is pretty interesting. But the car performed like a champ. Engine and powertrain wise the car feels very solid. Not a single misfire all weekend, just worked.

I did change the fuel tank this winter to one of the new produced ones from s30 world. Can highly recommend. That sorted my fuel issues with fine rust particles clogging the injector filter (it's much finer than the standard fuel filters). Also got the rear cage in from safety devices. Very happy with where the car is at now, can be used on the street and track. Just need to work a little more on the setup.

Other than that I changed to Carbotech XP12 pads for the Wilwood calipers. I can now use the brakes again, there were no feel in the street pads from Wilwood (that T3 recommended I should use). Last year I locked up all the time, there were just no feel or possibility of modulating the brakes.

Changed to Yokohama A052 tires because the AD08RS didn't work for me at all. The A052 is great, but a sticky track tire, so now the best for the street, they pick up so much debris.

I've watched the videos and all modified L6s sound similar and unique to them. Love it.

Keep 'em coming.

Never been to the 'ring. :(

I shared your videos with my lads. One was impressed with your 250 laps - he commented on your financial situation. The other was reminded of my old car by the sound and 'lazy upshift' as he called it. So Zzzz.

Lazy upshifts yes, can't rush them :D

Regarding racing, I don't know how you fellas do? I usually throw my recipts away and repress my memory of them....

By lazy upshifts I know what he means but it's not the gearbox it's the ways the sound builds after the change. I had an S14 and you can rush those, it's almost the sound you'd get if the clutch slipped. I'll try to get some examples for you - so S30.
