The one thing we're most short of is time, and all this bs wastes lots of it, all because some people don't feel they have to bite their tongue from time to time, like we all do in real life.
If you think you can do better, step up and help the committee, but be prepared to face the crap, regardless of what you do it upsets someone and that in turn extends the waste of time debating.

Your apologies come across as sincere as a certain Frenchman (Ha, Ha) ( I haven't worked out how to do a smiley face yet!)
Look I'll say it again (and thats the end) the club will be gone without your input but it has to have people like Sean wether you like it or not, as that type of person IS the type of person to drag the car from 'an old classic' into something more reachable to the modern younger blokes.

Nobody wants Sean not to be on here. He's been banned for one month only, nothing permanent. Trust me it, wasn't an easy decision to make! We knew there would be retributions but how far could we let it carry on before all hell broke loose? Anyway its history now, nothing will change the past so lets move on and have some bloody FUN for a change

Maybe time for other younger more with it trendy people to take over
Spent years trying to keep this club together but getting a bit tired of it all now
tried to keep the place almost unmoderated but soon as something is moderated after a member reporting a post comments like the following are posted
And If that is how I am thought of by some of the membership it is certainly time for me to go
Let me tell tell you something though if you think the moderation is to much on here you really do need to visit other forums because there is not one out there that is less moderated than here
And hey a bit tired of having to bite my tongue due to being a committee member

I missed all this so I can't comment directly.
I would, however, like to say that being in a club committee or being a forum moderator is often a thankless task. If action is taken it's never done lightly and often is by a majority vote behind the scenes.
As I am not in a position to comment on this particular episode, all I can say is a huge thanks to the people who spend a lot of time and effort keeping the club going (those obviously online and those behind the scenes).

Thankless task is pretty much bang on. There are people in the club who've been trying to shrug off the 'old fart' image forever. It's just not fair and it makes it really tough to want to have an active role when you know that people are talking behind your back about how crap you are at 'your job'. There are certain people in the team that make sure it runs like clockwork without any thought, just naturally because they're good people. Not many of the are spring chickens but they've all got a youthful fighting spirit that I'd be proud to have. We do need to move beyond this minor swerve now and get back to banter and knowledge swapping (although this is actually quite a good thread for closure for many involved).
Sean will be back. He'll be on form with plenty of shenanigans and banter to share. He's got broad enough shoulders.
To the rest of you, get back to business and bring something new to the plate. The new members getting involved want to see a thriving forum with all kinds of gubbins going on. A thread about argueing is not the best way to convey that. An article about how your trackday went (with video) or where great driving roads are you've found or if you're up for the drag challenge and want to know how to get involved... Now that sh*t would be cool!

Hi , For what its worth , I feel that I have become less likley to post questions and pictures on our web site because there are faceless people sitting behind there computers just waiting for you to post a picture that they can rip into , or a post with spelling mistakes or not so good grammer that will get quotes made of it . Yes people will allways have opinions but it is the way you make them , to belittle is not acceptable , I have owned my 240Z for more than 36 years and been a member, off and on for a lot of those years . So the car is a large part of my life , There are a lot of people on this web site that have given me a lot of help in the past , my thanks go to them , I am 58 years old cant spell and my grammer is not the best , And my car is not eveyones taste ,[ has a sun roof ], but I love it and the club , some of you need to cut some slack on other people on this great club web site .
