Apologies

Yes please

There is only one Sean Dessert & life should mean life in his case

Seriously though Sean does get a little carried away at times but he is the star of the show on this forum & it is very lonely on here without his presence.

LET HIM BACK PLEASE

He'll be back don't worry - just trying to work out if he'll miss the first round of the F1 competition though :D

Hi , For what its worth , I feel that I have become less likley to post questions and pictures on our web site because there are faceless people sitting behind there computers just waiting for you to post a picture that they can rip into , or a post with spelling mistakes or not so good grammer that will get quotes made of it . Yes people will allways have opinions but it is the way you make them , to belittle is not acceptable , I have owned my 240Z for more than 36 years and been a member, off and on for a lot of those years . So the car is a large part of my life , There are a lot of people on this web site that have given me a lot of help in the past , my thanks go to them , I am 58 years old cant spell and my grammer is not the best , And my car is not eveyones taste ,[ has a sun roof ], but I love it and the club , some of you need to cut some slack on other people on this great club web site .

Regards
Phil Hyett.
36 years? Is that a record? Is there a thread on longevity of ownership or have I missed it?

If not, start one!

Agreed Phil, that's pretty much how I feel. I can understand that the committee and moderators have a tough job, all I ask is that they be impartial and they do not let friendships or cleaks get in the way to treating everyone fairly. There are a couple of big heads on here who know everything and make snidy comments as they look down on others. It's not necessary, and puts a lot of people off from posting..

Equally Mr G there are a number of touchy people on here that cry "foul" if you dare criticise a nut or bolt or "read" insults into everything.

Also (I have found this) many people just plain ole misread what your trying to say and take it wrongly

I for one am seen as an arrogant know it all....but if you ever got to know me, you would know that I just like things done right and for the right reason, I also make it my business to understand the physics of the internal combustion engine so that I can focus my efforts better (I am very fortunate to have a friend who lectures on the subject at a Uni) and dispel some of the myths and hyperbole, rather than just blindly start pulling things apart and fitting crap back together....this isn’t arrogance, its an engineer using 30 years of skill and experience to best effect.
Most of the folks that do anything half decent with engines, won’t post on here for a number of reasons, me however I like to share what I try and do, in the hope that someone else will twig and continue and improve it, however most people take this wrong and see it as well whatever.

All I will say is never judge a book by its cover

Trust me this place is rather loosely moderated, and I mean this in a good way (I have been banned off a couple for pretty much what I do anyway) however at any time when the line is crossed the mods have to swing the banhammer.

But why does all this shennanigans happen when I'm not here? Every freaking time!

It appears to be a winter thing, people must be bored and unable to withstand the cold while working under their cars ;)

So when's there going to be a meetup near me? Need to show the missus a good looking Z31 so we both have more motivation (I don't think she's keen on the one I showed her with the holes in the wings!)

Cheshire Plainz normally meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at "Home Pub" Lymm road.

Check the CheshirePlainz forum for details.

Alternatively, give me a shout most weekends you can come and see mine in Wrexham.

Lymm road, is that the main road that runs past the dam or am I thinking of somewhere completely different?

The Cheshire Plainz next meet is this Wednesday too...

The usual (small) crowd should be there I think, so the more the merrier.

Blimey it's all kicked off here since i've lost my net connection hasn't it?

Anyone who thinks this club is boring should take a trip down to Santa Pod during the Z Club Drag Racing challenge - plenty of banter, fast cars women and greasy fried food along with black coffee..... okay maybe i was lying about the women bit but it's still the reason i pay my liscence fee on here as well as keeping all you peeps in touch with the V8 project :)

I think the guys on here do a great job - keep it up guys :D
