What did you do to your Z this week?

does it just go straight in,any wiring mods needed ?
Straight in physically, the bolts holes all line up. Just a bit of a faff getting past the bottom of the glove box. Wiring wise…the Z motor has two wires coming out of it, one with a spade connector and one with a barrel connector. They join up to the loom wires. The Honda motor has an external two-pin connector. I made up a short fly lead with two female spades for the motor end, and a spade and a barrel connector on the other end (same as the Z motor output lead). Then it just plugs straight into the loom wires. The original wiring was quite tightly fitted, so the flylead also gave a bit more slack making it easier to fit. The Honda motor is reversible, so if nothing comes out of your vents when you turn it on, simply swap the two wires over at the motor end and off you go.

We got married this weekend and the Z was my chariot to the venue. We had a fantastic day, and the car performed without any issues.

I am so happy to have been able to bring the car along after working on it for what seems like forever.

After seeing this pic, my wife has a newfound appreciation for Datsuns, which I can only interpret as approval to buy more :)
