Just for anyone that hasn’t checked the 260z has larger ports in the rad support,.
And on mine it’s a brilliantly well designed water trap

a 432 style airbox? One that sits in front of the radiator panel? Same as e36/45 m3?View attachment 40449 View attachment 40450 View attachment 40451 Just trial fitted this box today, it takes a 100mm hose which should be a challenge. The box is efi Hardware and is a beaut (as they say in Oz). Arrived in 3 days!
I’ve gone with a uni filter that simply pushes in the spiral wound inlet hose.
The box is 125mm deep clears the inner wing by 15mm, I can just about get the top off with 90mm trumpets fitted.
Sean, do you any problems greeting the cover off over the air horns. I’m running 90mm horns and can’t quite get the cover off over them. Having to shorten the horns down to 60mm.Simples.

I've had this Red 1972 Z for 16 months now and I'm really having fun upgrading, tuning and driving it. My first Z decades ago, was a '73 that was totally stock.
This one is way better. I've put in a street friendly Comp Cam, new valve guide seals (2 were bad on #6) and jetted the Weber DCOE's for a clean burning plugs and no bog at 2,000 rpm. Also,
electric power steering, recurved the distributor, Derale cooling fan controller, Delco 100 amp alternator and blue tooth Pioneer stereo. This fall I finished the installation of AC which is required here
in Texas, 6+months a year. I'm hoping to find a lead on how to buy one of the Skiddell Pimac air boxes. Cool air really helps the power. I look forward to leaning many great ideas from long term Z owners that do quality work.

thanks DanIf there was any future issues - my cousin would be happy to take on the production of the airboxes. He teaches at nottingham university but has his own workshop at home where he does a lot of work with prepreg materials etc.
Nice. What Throttle bodies and controller are you running? My Weber DCOE's are not happy with ethanol in the Texas heat and can vapor lock. I'm waiting for the cold air boxes to be made for the members that want them. I really would like to convert to fuel injection someday. Thanks. This might help, original box from Skids
