Skiddell/Pmac Airbox

IIRC I had a quote of £225+ carriage from MrF.

Also there was the ducting and air filter to go with it to consider. Does anyone remember / know what air filter he used to supply with it / works with it?
Pay attention better Ali! I did a full write-up on the installation and what parts can be used to complete the setup last year:

https://zclub.net/community/index.php?threads/cold-air-intake-tips-for-s30zs-the-crx-solution.25242/

That CRX kit has become more difficult to find; it can be bought from sellers in the US though and I may have found a source for the important bit - the aluminium tube - in the U.K. Will update on that...

Worth adding that these airbox setups require some “self assembly” - don’t expect everything to be laid out on a platter for easy installation.

I’ve just got the ducting from box to filter that sits the other side of the rad panel and if I’m right in saying those of us that are running lots of power you have to get the right size filter not some Mickey Mouse size that came off a ford cortina sort of size,I’ve a big K&N on mine, can get the pipe work like Richiep has described which looks better for not a lot of money, there is a company in Dunmow essex near me that will bend it to exactly how you want it if you need anything like that done

Sorry for not posting a price yet. There was confusion over vat being included and which price on the list I was given. I’m trying to get a better price but to give people some idea, it will be substantially below £200. I am aiming for below £150 including vat, delivery and packaging (which will be time consuming making 15+ boxes). Should have a firm price this week once confirmed and agreed with zclub committee.

Building on what Paul says above about filter size, the other factor to consider is that, if I remember rightly, for engines above 3.0L, one needs to consider running larger diameter ducting, which will mean enlarging the hole in the rad support.

Basically, the majority of applications with 2.4-2.8L are perfect with 3”/76mm tubing, which as shown in my write-up, can be made to fit through the top hole in the rad support with a hump hose section to locate it. However, once into stroker territory, 89mm is advisable. Indeed, that’s the OD of the airbox intake. Steve’s Time Attack car, that Matt Bannister now owns, uses that larger diameter ducting and the top hole through the rad support has been cut bigger.

Didn’t know that Rich I’ve got the Rebello 3.2 going in soon but I’ll try my set up that I’ve got and see how it goes as it’s only another 100 cc more than wot I’ve got but something to bear in mind also sometime later I might have to fit a swirl pot or go slower round corners

Is the £15 membership fee burning a hole in your pocket? When it runs out next year will you renew it or are you only paying this years for your airbox?

I've paid a fair few years worth to support the forum running costs. With membership incentivisation I'd be happy to do the same again. Hence why i'm paying out of my own pocket to sort steering racks out for the benifet of people here. Paying it forward is the phrase I think.
