It a fair old trek for me but at this rate it’s starting to look like an event not to miss.

Given the October date, let’s hope the weather doesn’t screw us over!
After my last Silverstone experience in the p-ing rain, I won’t ever drive my car in that sort of weather again. Not sure I did it any favours! But this October was pretty mild, so let’s hope for the best.

Just suck it up and don't think about the rust!

The worst weather I think I've ever driven in was on the way home from Japfest at Castle Combe one year with Dave Porter as passenger. We went through what could only be described as a monsoon on the M5 in Birmingham. The Z was pretty much full-time aquaplaning all the way along the elevated section. Poor Z wipers basically ineffective, sphincters and breath held tight! Funny thing was, by the time we got to Cheshire, it was blazing sunshine and not a drop of rain...

ROFLAMO!!! I can totally relate to that pulsating sphincter sentiment! I once ended up on the outside lane of a dual carriageway overtaking at a mere 50MPH in my Turbo MR2, when my lane turned pure white with snow! The driver on my inside all of a sudden woke up and decided to match my speed. I couldn’t brake, nor did I dare accelerate! You know you’re out of options when you start wondering how hard the shrubbery in the central reservation could be ;).

I do need to fix the leaking windscreen - been on the list for 5 years!!

@Dale - really pleased you’re going to make it buddy, this should be a great event - if for no other reason than having so many of us there!
