Hi there
I've started my research to buy a 240 og 260Z. Preferably I would like a 260Z 2+2, as my son could ride with us too, but they seem hard to find.
I need to find a car in very good shape. Does not have to be showroom/mint, but it should be instantly driveable, rust free with no big things to be done. The price would of course be higher than a medium or project car, which I'm fully aware of.
I've been looking in this forum and on different car sites for some months, but I have a hard time to put a value on the car I'm looking for.
How would you experts value a car, that is original (no upgraded engine or other 'to-look-more-modern' upgrades), in very good condition (the step below showroom/mint) and with original engine, gearbox and matching numbers?
I tend to see the prices are a bit higher for 240Z than for 260Z, am I right? And how is the 2+2 compared to that? Guess we'll see increasing prices for the 260Z as well in a couple of years, if it follows the 'trend' from e.g. Porsche 911 valuation.
Best,
Kenneth
