Flippin Heck Derrick. You have a big heart.
Thanks Ian for your replyIts scary how rotten that thing is. Great job on saving it and getting rid of all that rust and previous dodgy repairs.
Is that still on? I stopped watching when Dirty Den got shot by a bunch of flowers.Still beats having to watch Eastenders

Thanks Ian for your reply
I think what’s more scary is the dodgy repairs and that whoever had done them obviously thought they were ok as for the amount of rot there has been a lot over the past years but most of which is in all the normal places for these cars it would seem eg sills, floors, air tubes, inner wings, chassis rails, rad support panel, rear arch’s and other areas don’t really think these cars were designed to keep for 40years plus it seems particularly bad because I’m doing everything all in one go which is an awful lot of work as you know Still beats having to watch Eastenders
They were designed to have an expected lifespan of 7 years!
Richie - I'm sure it is as you've stated it but is that really true? 7 years is nothing!
I think in all fairness to Andy these panels are made for left to Rhd conversions and people just cut down 15mm inside the firewall and weld it in I needed the flange due to previous crap repairsGreat stuff Derrick. I assume this is from Andy at Auto Panel Solutions? I really would have thought he'd have an option for panels with flanges as it must be fairly common that that area needs replacing as well (?) .Certainly was the case for me and you.
Wouldn’t say I’m repairing new panels Rob just modify to suit my needsGot there in the end Derrick. I've seen it all now - you are even 'repairing' new panels.
