The LakeZ 2011 24/25/26 June

I have just got back from Craig's (Throttleton) place in Northumberland (nice to meet you fella, and thank the wife for the offer of a brew...:)).

I came back over Hartside and Kirkstone passes and the sun is shining, and it was a great drive even in a 110 Defender.

Martin we defo need to get Hartside in the ride out.....:D :driving:

Hartside pass is part of a great drive but check with the bikers they haven't got anything planned on the same day as they are mental over those roads.
 
Guys, sorry to be a pain but I haven't been following this and wondered what the date was? It might be an idea to put that in the title or somewhere else obvious.

If it is obvious just put it down to old age.
 
Great, so it's not too close to the manic May. Quite keen on this but I'll not put my name down until I'm certain.

I did start looking before a date was agreed but as with a lot of these 'Event' threads many of the posts are people adding their name to it, which is good news but not that exciting.

Throttleton - 'Polishing my Inlet Manifold' to be honest I haven't touched my 240 for months, too busy working in the house. Perhaps just as well considering how cold the winter has been.

JK and myself have just had a very nice meeting with the owner of the Heaves Hotel who couldnt have been more obliging.

There will be good power showers and toilets suppled by a local company. Please remember we are renting these and not the hotel.

There will be food available on the Friday night. This will be burgers and similar to keep costs reasonable.

On the saturday night we have a buffet which is again provided by the Hotel. They have also agree to us having a band which I have lined up.

Bacon butties etc will be available in the mornings.

Just to give you an idea, the RS weekend there gets about 5000 people so they are used to numbers.

As of today there are two twin rooms left at the hotel so anyone wanting them please PHONE to book.

It would be great to get a display with one of each model at this. I am not sure who owns what from the list but I will look at it nearer the time.
