Max is kindly looking after the Saturday drive out and has a couple of routes under consideration.

How many people are up for this. Bear in mind that its the summer silly season so the central lakes will be very busy. Its an option too use the east of the M6 as this wont be as bad.

Comments.

There are plenty of other things to do such as this.

this
Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway

connects with this.

About 15 minutes from the Heaves Hotel.

Max has just about finalised the details for the drive out after over 500 miles of test driving.
It should take about 4 hours including stops.

Google Winlatter, Kirkstone and Honister passes for an idea.

Some pics to give you an idea.

A few views from the route. :)

Scottish and NE convoy.

The Plan

Jay will be leaving Glasgow @1100hrs, passing my gaff at approx 1120hrs then convoying to Jct40 M6 and a possible meet up with the NE crew. A lunch stop @1300hrs here http://www.lakedistricthotels.net/innon ... /index.php, then move onto Heaves where Neil P will have drinks waiting at the bar

Anyone is welcome to join our merry little band , even if you are not attending and just fancy a drive out if you have spare time on the Friday I like lists, so if adding your name just remove the quote's and add

We will tweek the start/pick up points to suit anyone that is geographically challenged , but will try to stick to these timings, as I say anyone is welcome to join at any point enroute

Southern convoy. These are all on the Friday btw.

The first one, point (B) McDonalds @ approx 12.00/12.30, for people travelling from the top end of the East Midlands, (Sheffield, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Rotherham Etc.)

The ones travelling from the south of the area (Derby, Nottingham, West Midlands, Stratford Upon Avon Ect.) may wish to rendezvous at the second point (C) Macdonald Tickled Trout Hotel @ approx 13.00/1400.

The meeting time are open to discussion Myself and Linda are planning to set of just before lunch 11.00am and then stopping for a bit to eat on the way at some point. So if anyone knows of somewhere to stop off shout up. arriving at Heaves just before tea.

Post your prefered meeting point. Point (B), (C).

Just returned from the Lakes after a good weekend at the 'Meet' and also spending time in Martin's two 'locals'. My wife and I found Cark in Cartmel a very picturesque and welcoming place.

As usual I enjoyed meeting some new faces including Jonathan with his Samuri and a Scottish guy with his 260 2+2.

Unfortunately we were let down by the weather and too many 'no showers'. I wonder how many on the list didn't turn up?

But a good event in a beautiful part of the country

I am hoping for a future event of the same ilk in the future.

Well done to all involved, and those that turned up regardless of the weather conditions.

I really enjoyed the weekend, despite the weather which was particularly bad on Saturday.

Great to put faces to names at last. The 350Z guys turned out in force, shame we didn't get a few more of the older cars but a great start for a fledgling event.

Same time next year I hope....
