Pulls up on drive way at 8 o'clock this Saturday night Pauline goes to unlock the front mortice lock and says to me as she is opening it "You left the Lights on" Strange as we left the house at 3.30 in the afternoon
What a pleasant sight greets greats us
Clothes over the floor in the hall way and a nice tidy bedroom

Thats terrible Dad. Hopefully you havent lost anything of sentimental value. I was broken into once whilst away at work. Fortunately a friend who had a key just happened to turn up to collect a cheque I had left for him and disturbed them,

Not much chance but I hope they get what they deserve.

Very sorry to see / read this! :(

My advice is to check your spare car keys haven't been found for a later visit.

Good luck with it all!!

Bad news Steve... Hope the dickheads didn't take anything sentimental like Martin said :/

Terrible news Steve. My neighbour was robbed last night whilst on nights.

Seems you got away lightly, and so did she but it must be horrible.

Good point about the car keys Smiley.

I actually had a good outcome. The scroats broke into next door twice. The second time the owner was up after a late shift and had a baseball bat ready. The police were very good about it.

They're b*stards, aren't they. I've been robbed before, it's not so much what they take but the invasion of privacy and the thought that some lowlife has been through your possessions that hurts the most. I believe in karma though, so I'm sure they'll get what's coming to them at some point (hopefully it will manifest itself in the form of a baseball bat).

I keep a 24" breaker bar within easy access now, just in case. "sorry officer, he fell and hit his face on the bar, repeatedly"

Know the feeling, went away for weekend and come back to find front door had been kicked in,put the word out to the local lads, £100 reward for names, you would be suprised how many people were fighting to get to me first with info, say no more.

So sorry to read this, Steve - they'll get what's coming to them further down the line. Keep your chin up!

Sorry to hear this Steve. The people who did it will have no luck and will get whats coming to them.Hidden CCTV is maybe the way to go mate.

Sorry to hear this mate it's disgusting these people will steal from hard working decent people. Often they are junkies so finding your stuff if I has sentimental value, may not be too hard there not very imaginative or smart folk. As said maybe it would be sensible to change the locks as a matter if corse. I hope you've already reported it and gained a crime reference for your insurance, that's what you pay it for. Not that it's all about the money but at least you won't be out if pocket.
On a lighter note I suggest you purchase a small dragon, even a small one has great security benefits. We picked a ice breather rather than a fire breather less damage if it has an episode.

Jeez, sorry to hear that, Steve. Best of luck for a result from plod / insurance.

Its a shame but not uncommon these days and i speak from experience.

Utter, utter w*nkers.... pardon my language but what t*ssers...

Sorry to hear about this Steve - I hope insurance etc coughs up quickly and nothing of sentimental value taken.

Personally I'd chop the thieving little sh*ts hands off...
