Proper car for sale at last

You can say what you like about Samuris but the combination of that colour scheme and spolier is very distinguishing and suits the car. That car looks better in the two-tone livery.

Also being old enough to remember Samuri cars they do evoke memories of fast Zs.

No amount of debate about the effectiveness of these cars and their claim to fame can erase that.

Rob if you want to view the world through orange and brown tinted glasses then go ahead, its your dime....me, I just think the whole thing always smacks of rehashed rhetoric, often with an agenda to create value for a sub marque which has little substance, certainly nothing to deserve the height of the pedestal on which they are put.

Having grown up about 6 miles from the Croughton Samuri workshop, the Z, regular or Samuri, was always a big deal round here. For me it was a bigger buzz seeing a Z blat down the road than seeing a D/E-type Jag or Aston Martin, and still is as it happens :D

Reserve price is £ 35k ( always lowest guide figure with Silverstone ) to which you have to add buyers premium of 10% + VAT so this car will sell for price in region of at least.£ 40k if it sells !

Guide price is £35 - £45k Sean so it's hardly going to sell for £27k is it....

I don't imply that it will reach and therefore sell at it's reserve price - I said £27k which is what I think it'll reach with the bids.

I notice no-one else has hazarded a guess least of all he with a Samuri and who started this thread. C'mon, you must have a more accurate idea than I.

The auction house are in it for a sale, and as such wouldn't set what they thought was an unobtainable lower estimate. And Silverstone do make strong prices generally if you look at their higher profile sales like Race Retro, NEC classic, Salon Prive etc.

So, what's your estimate ?

Perhaps the James May episode will help it along..........

This goes across the block this afternoon, after being originally changed from tomorrow. I was planning to go along when it was the Sunday slot but couldn't make today, so good luck Tony I hope it does well for you

I had a good look at the car yesterday. With 12.5% buyers premium + VAT it went well past my budget but I hope it is going to a good home and many congratulations to the new buyer!
