And I will bet there is not many who know who the guy is who is standing behind it
Some may know the name but would have never seen a photo of him as they are as rare as hens teeth

This 'tastefully enhanced' 260 2+2 is an eyecatcher. Bear in mind that this car was only about 3 years old when this was done to it!

Thats a bute  the things some peeps got up to in the 70's & early 80's was quite shocking, like the way they have added flared arches then fitted wheels that stick out even further .

Two more. It was quite common to add a colour to the paint scheme like this red one. - see bonnet.

yeah and instigated a club so people could become members, meet up and look at it even then he made the bronze and orange things welcome no matter what they may have thought of his car:devil:
The guys enthusiasm was the reason the club started in the first place

.......less of the enthusiasm nowadays....discuss !

Same old story Sean do not know where to begin as naught as strange as folks

Getting to old in the tooth to lose sleep over it let the people who may be missing out on it help reinventing the enthusiasm that should be the lifeblood of the place

I have had and am still having fun in the Z Scene and feel that if others don't want to play it is their lose:(

.......less of the enthusiasm nowadays....discuss !

Less cars...........less enthusiasts..........how many of the cars from the meet are still around today?

I think we all do our bit in our own way, something is better than nothing, and the amount of calls Zed The Red has had re. his car for sale shows there is interest out there.....

Enjoying the old pics, keem em coming.

Less enthusiasm for the S30/S130 - new generation are intersted in 'newer' cars and older guys are leaving the scene due to work and home commitments. Also in the UK, price of fuel, traffic calming along with congestion doesn't help either. Different scene back them when those photos were taken - the world has changed; people were more care free, fuel was cheaper and driving was more enjoyable.

Two more pictures with Eddie on them. I'll leave the enthusiasm comments as I don't think they are too much at the moment and were generated by this Thread.

Dodgy heeled shoes and rear tyres extruding well past the arches !

Dodgy "spoiler" on the white Z and in fact I can't see a standard looking Z anywhere - what a bunch of wannabes..... and probably at least half the reason that these cars don't exist anymore.

The SuperSamuri 260Z white on the left.....did someone sell these stickers ?

This is what we want - the people are as important as the cars in a club. The club is the people the cars is the reason.

So has Nico still got FFA196L? That is THE roadgoing 240Z (S30) I would like to see more of - if only he would take it on track at Japfest . This one can wear a Super Samuri sticker with pride!

I like this view - probably the one most people got back in the early 70s. Forgot to ask - how do I resize these pics - someone is doing it secretly for me at the moment?
