Old Pictures of '78 Meet

I've been sent some pictures by a former Z car owner Jim Brookman. The pictures are of a 'Meet' in 1978 but he can't remember the location.

Here is a 'taster' - anybody know where it was? Were you there?

No that's a Gold and Black 240Z Samuri!

FFA 196L was there too!!!!

I have the pics to prove it!

What amazed me was how many cars were heavily modified when they were so young.

Neither of those reg numbers are currently on the experian database, so they are either in Z car heaven or on different reg numbers these days.

Anyone know anymore about the black and gold car?

I was hoping to see mine too but no joy. Actually I found a ZClub 'pass' in my car of a track meet at Aintree, does anybody remember that day and have any pics?

I'll post some more when I have scanned them. By the way I have the negatives of these.

Aintree now that was a great day out thier was a film crew from Japan if i remember correct.

Kevin Bristow & Kevin Irons had a great battle on the last 1/2 hour of track time.

I am not sure is it Old Windsor ? I recognise a lot of the cars . That was a long time ago I would not be supprised if my 240 and I were there .

Same as the reference to Aintree in 1993 - nothing.....excet that I snuck that one out from your upsatirs toilet if I remember rightly and I kinda like the ZX graveyard shot - all we ever see are similar photos but in the States !

Repainted brown and gold in 1980 that one, exported somewhere (don't know where though) in 1983, and changed owners in 2002.

Anyone on here still got it??

This 'tastefully enhanced' 260 2+2 is an eyecatcher. Bear in mind that this car was only about 3 years old when this was done to it!
