FFA at Festival of Speed

You looking for a bit of head then ?

I've always loved the green one but the red one DOES have that rare bit.....hummm ?

Sorry Sean your comment confuses me what on Planet earth are you on about Is there something I should know

All three are interesting, very well executed and a credit to Jeff and Fourways, one in particular has an LY (crossflow) in it.

I guess you now realise to what I was referring ?:smash:

Met him several times, socially once and also at the Swiss meet in '91 when they (James, John Rich and Geoff) drove the two road cars down and won all the concours prizes - read about it in the Autumn '91 Club magazine, burgundy cover colour.

Nice bloke, a bit flash but commisionned some great cars and Fourways did a great job - was put down at the time by several well-placed Z Club people (jealousy ?) and basically was in it for the fun.......which is the point isn't it ?

" The special ones"

Hi all anyone got any pics of these legendary cars? Does the candy red one have white leather interior, big alloys, if so i saw this one at fourways when i went to look at a 240z he was selling, while he went to do something i just happened to have a look see in this opened garage door and saw it!! Wow nice!!! obviously i know now, would be great to see them all eh?

They were having a few problems with U.J's on the red car at the time, because I seem to remember one breaking at the Goodwood track day, John Rich and Co having to change it and Mr Taylors wife standing over them and sarcastically saying to John "these don't break then !".

Those were the days.

Which outing saw Tim in his Z with UAJ/R ? at Goodwood with a supercharger ?

Was that the one where John Rich of Fourways (prior to his change of living accommodation) came up to me and said "Fair play to you fella. As I have reminding James regually over the last 6 months to pay his re subscription fees"

Also last time I spoke to James was quite a few years back when he crossed the road in front of me on the way to visit his Mum Twickenham way but not seen him since

Good days indeed but hey times are just as good now just with a different slant on them

Slightly off topic I know as this thread seems to primarily be 3 pages of discussion about the Fourways car/s owned by some 80's boy band.... However the car mentioned in the title is now confirmed for sale in the July 1st sale at Goodwood on Bonhams website along with one or two other tasty little numbers...!!

er allegedly and don't blame me, there were several posts by people way more important than me that dragged it down

Anyway I digress, its a shame Goodwood is so far away otherwise it would be fun just to watch.

But did it actually sell at that figure, though, Sean, or is it just an asking price ?

Back on topic for a brief moment, personally I would be surprised if FFA sells for more than, say around £40k or so, but would be delighted if it did so. I know that Spike regards it as being a more significant example than Big Sam, but it will be interesting to see if the Market appreciates that point.
