When I sed power it was there as soon as you put yer foot down, just like my 3.1 striker,I see Ian on Saturday and his rebellious powered Zed gives rather well, and at least he has hair
The only engine that gives power instantly is an electric one.
Don't be nosy
You know, I wonder if that kind of thing will happen in the future - classics with electric power units...?Got it Sean Your going for the 1st Tesla powered Z imagine the acceleration if the top spec battery pack was fitted as it propels a Tesla to 60 in 2.5 seconds
You will also be gaining the very large boot space up front
But please don't paint it ginger as that would spoil the whole concept.

Now don't be disingenuous Sean - the 260Z you give there as your example is a 2+2.240Z !

2x more - they were listed as being more expensive when sold off the forecourts and this one is very original !
Have you something against 2+2s then ?
240Z !

The 260Z 2+2 is certainly a far better looking car than an E Type 2+2.

No, but as you well know, the 2+2 variant sells for nothing like the two-seater so an unfair comparison to list the price of a 240 against a 260 2+2.
So wots happened with that old spunker of yours then, spill the beans, that's wot you say to everyone else who is doing Zed stuff, has it rotted out after all that hype ? Has the engine exploded ?
In terms of price ( not value, that is different ) the 240Z cars in as close to original condition as they left the factory will be worth the most money both now and especially in the longer term. It is always these cars that command the highest prices in the classic car world whichever marque you look at. How many around though ? Not many at all.
A good thing maybe as this may help keep the investor types ( rather than enthusiasts ) away from the Z.
A car is original just once. Anyone with a big fat cheque book can throw as much money as they want at a restoration but you cannot replicate originality and patina. Fortunately it may also be that these are the cars that may appeal least to the genuine driver enthusiast like most here who want to use their cars regularly.
