See when you do get a prize can you shove it right up................

to a very nice place. on your mantelpiece.
Obviously it'll not be easy to get an placing against all the other UK original 2+2's there's got to be at least 100 or 10 or 3 or 2 or none.
No idea why 3 does that below the cursor thing. Checking,, 1 2 3 4 5 6 78 9 . You live and learn.

nice job so far don, i had the same issue with the gear shifter bush and also made one out of an old valve guide, to get around the side to side issues as mine wasnt a press fit i stuck some felt pads either side of the shifter with a hole punched out the size of the bush.
annoyingly though the vibration keeps unscrewing my 8 ball gear knob but it improved the gear change 100% i might try locktighting it on or get some delrin plastic and make another bush
good to see another 2+2:driving:

Surely everyone saw this coming from the start?

Don, why dont you put a link to this build thread on the ad so people can see the progress?

Also, FYI you have accidently put an extra zero at the end of the price.

This just got even more interesting. Somewhere amongst all of these posts Alan made the very valid point that if this was a car for sale everyone would tear it apart...... so what will happen now if someone comes on here saying they are new to the scene and are looking at spending £32K on their dream 260z "what does everyone think about this one, should i buy it?". Will all the backers of this build say it is a gem and a true nut and bolt restoration with a folder full of bare shell photo's?

Tommi, I have praised Don on here for how he has transformed this car and for what he has ended up with compared to what he started with. If a genuine prospective 'buyer' came on the site as you have suggested I would give them an honest opinion in private as I have done on numerous occasions. What I will say on here is that the asking price is incredibly optimistic for a 260Z 2+2.

Well said Rob
100% correct in every thing you have said
Not that everybody will take notice of what you have said which is a shame

What value - approximately - would you give it?

I just hope that nobody makes too long a journey to go and see this car with high expectations based on the ad.
