Nice photos...

Personally, I've not read all 113 plus pages. I know there's been a lot of chat about this car etc... I would tend to agree with Rob G... This car was an insult to the Z badge and DM has made it into (by pics seen) a decent looker. A car ready for the yard, only to reappear on the scene. Value and asking price... well, I've always thought value is in the eye of the beholder!... But TBH, I am curious as to your valuation, what do you base it on?..

I love the fact Anthony bought this 260z with the body kit on a lot people would of run away from it as it looked a long way of been back on the road

My job is panel beater and painter I see how much effort it will have took the lads to get this to road worthy state

I have seen the car in person and Anthony he a good lad love z cars like all of us on here very chatty its a good car i dunno value of it is. If love a 2+2 as a family z

And that unfortunately sums up this whole thread and your attitude to the people on this site from day one.

The car as a finished product is a middle finger to the naysayers on here and that in itself is why some of you are showing hostility.

Thank you Christian.

Really enjoyed driving the Z and meeting up with you guys at Silverstone.

It is a shame that others could not make it.

Look forward to meeting up again soon.

This applies to you as much as to anyone else. You seem to have "run your mouth" somewhat with your sales description too.

The irony is that you've actually been given more than fair treatment here. Moderation has often been in your favour, even saving you from yourself on a couple of occasions. Now you're apparently upset at people speaking truth at your sales blurb. I can think of a few other automotive forums where you would be given a short, sharp reality check that would be ten times more brutal than what you've experienced here.

Some of the people questioning your "nut and bolt rebuild" and "bare metal" body resto on this thread have actually carried out full disassembly 'nut and bolt' rebuilds and bare metal body restorations, so have an idea of what it means and what it actually requires in terms of planning, research, time, funds and parts sourcing. These people are not "running their mouths". They actually know what they are talking about.

I don't think I have commented much on this car since the early days - I've just enjoyed the constant banter about it ...

Don has done a good job in getting this car back on the road after undoing some pretty nasty body mods - that cannot be denied, even by Albrecht. It's cost him a lot of money to do it.

But the level of resto is nowhere near that which Don said he would accomplish in the early days. It is certainly not a nut and bolt job - that would be to concours level and this is way, way down the line from that.

I think it is the description in the sales blurb which is annoying people - it's blatant misrepresentation to be honest.

And it ain't worth ANYWHERE near £32k!

And don't worry others have been saved from moderation on this thread as well

Note was being typed as previous post was being entered so really is not about previous post

What ^ said.

@DM - I would seriously consider editing the advert as it constitutes "gross misrepresentation" IMHO . Should the car sell, the buyer is going to smell the coffee and his lawyers would have a field day when they stumble upon this thread as evidence of work done.

GLWS.

In the club bye-laws, what's the position regarding hosting sales blurp that is factually incorrect ?

No hostility I think (at least not from me) and I haven't followed the thread too closely but I did naively believe that you were going to restore this Z in better taste that it has finished - something more dignified to a classic S30 and ultra-rare 2+2. No offence intended, just not MY taste and I'm disappointed.

I saw £32k, now £25 - I think the selling price will be more around half that although you might have expected more if it was more 'classic' in looks.

As for the ad text, if you do consider alterling it, don't forget the 4-1 exhaust which must make people think twice before going further.

Finally, my biggest disappointment is that you didn't restore this car to keep but to sell on for, what appears to be a tidy profit. That, to me is your middle finger to all here who helped/advised you and found the parts for which you kept asking.

Once sold, you'll move on which'll be good you you and those here both.
