Sounds like the driver needs to lose some weightI took my 260 for an MOT today, passed of course. Also learned it weighs 1370 kg with driver and 15L of fuel!

I'd missed that obvious conclusionSounds like the driver needs to lose some weight
Did you take it on a weighbridge.I took my 260 for an MOT today, passed of course. Also learned it weighs 1370 kg with driver and 15L of fuel!
No, apparently the brake rollers weigh the car (or one end of the car at a time)Did you take it on a weighbridge.
You're right, but it looks like it should be so easy....Took off the clutch master cylinder and the brake servo so I can prep for paint.
Remove clevis pin, remove 4 bolts under dash, remove servo.... sounds easy, Haynes forgot to add the balance on your head with your feet in the air whilst getting rust in your eyes, some sort of masochist yoga move.
Also pleasant surprise after taking the exhaust completely off, is it's a full stainless which fits the standard manifold. So this saves me some money which I'd already set aside mentally.
I wasn't wrong completely. Some bolt heads are machined poorly and do not fit a tool. You're right. I have NO idea why my tools didn't fit yesterday evening. Today they fit. It is a miracle.
Awesome thanks, will have to pop down there when I next get a day off, always good to have recommendations! If the guy in Weymouth is still about let me know, photos look good! Thanks again
Got some parts that needed re-plating back today. Particularly please with brake cylinder caps.

Not at all. Normally done by weight and last time I had all the nuts and bolts and engine bay bright work done for £50. This time I had a bunch of anodising and polishing done as well as the bits in the photo plated at the same time so it came to £115.They look great. How much did that all set you back if you don't mind me asking?
I've been toying with the idea of getting one of those home zincing kits to do all the little bits and pieces like this.
