Overall it was a good performance from the England team during the tournament, little bit disappointed not to finish on a win but no one ever remembers who came third, only the team that wins the world cup

Was a reasonable rag when I left the UK 25 yrs ago ! Sorry.
Well today I thought we were in for a 5-0 but they got their act together and kept it decent.
They did ok but they just aren't quick enough on the break. Actually they were better at the start on the tournament.
Anyway tomorrow:
It's my birthday so that's one co-incidence,
Secondly I'm 66 - what year did England win? I watched it on TV in Chingford aged 14.
Thirdly guess where I'm going on my summer holiday - Croatia again!
And finally if it rains tomorrow they reckon it will rain for 40 days and nights (St Swithan's Day):

Am I the only one to be disappointed, not merely the two last results but in the team's (best that our country can field) performances ?
Sure, it's great to say the mainthing is the particpation, they did their best....but they should have been in the final - just another downer on May's Britain, probably best for Brexit in the long run.

1.Why would you get banned for expressing an opinion.
2. Were you not entitled to a vote, are you a British subject?
3. They'll get a good reception I would've thought.
I think England did as well as could be expected with a 'new' team.
They don't have the class or stamina yet but hopefully things will improve with time experience.
It has been a great World Cup - let's hope we get an end-end final today.

Please do something so we can like rubbing our noses it when France wins the World Cup
IMHO it is almost certain they will as much as I hate to admit it
So I am going to propose we ban you for 4 years until they give the trophy back
Reason being that as an Englishman you should be coming back to the UK in protest against the French daring to win it!!!

What ? England had an easy qualifying run and even then had to run to penalties - they were out of their league and hopefully will mature - it was great to see a TEAM and not just a couple of inviduals to whom the ball is passed to score.
So tell me - should I be for France or Croatia....or abstain/vote 'white' (imho fence-sitting) ?

Well I am sure the Ref have lot of money on France to win first the free kick that lead to the first goal was not a foul and then the penalty was not a deliberate hand ball
