What did you do to your Z this week?

I wouldn't use one of those just to keep the clock running though, there not good for the battery long term. If you really need to have the correct time, all the time and want to keep the cut off switch (which i would definitely recommend keeping) you could wire just the clock directly to the battery no?
Sounds like that would drain the battery too

Newer 'smart' trickle chargers like the Ctek are quite advanced and have been proven not to be detrimental to your battery health - I'd keep the car on that if you have access to a power source

I’m not overly bothered about the clock to be honest, but I’ve read that the original clocks are quite thirsty on the battery, but don’t know if that’s all versions or not.

After seeing the car in the sunshine at Donington, I realised that it desperately needed a polish

I've owned the car for almost exactly a year and never got around to doing it... The paintwork has a lot of swirl marks from previous contiminated washes, plus a few deeper scatches. I am by no means a detailing expert, but I'm happy with the outcome. There's still some scratches present but I'm hesitant to go too aggressive. Just need some sunshine to see it in the real world...

Sent my Alternator to a local auto electrician and report came back today, alternator is at fault.

Well done everyone at Donington who helped me diagnose the problem 👍

So they can't repair it either, so I've emailed zcardepot to see what they say and in the meantime going to replace with something in-country.

Ha. Sorry. I wonder whats wrong with it that they can't fix.
Well, the guy who deals with them wasn't in. But they gave me another which is exactly the same model etc.

It boiled down to cost of repair v cost of replacement.

I'm going to give them the wiper motor next and see if he can repair it before I do the honda wiper motor upgrade.
