How about we give support to our committee and website admin. It costs us nothing in time and money to support those that keep the site running.
Personally I would rather not wade through threads with "swear words" and blatently rude derogatory comments and remarks.

Just about every forum have swear filters. It's nothing new. Give the guys who give their time for free to run the club a break!

I live in the real world and therefore I don't spend time worrying about whether or not I can swear on a forum or not. What the big deal, surely theres more important things to worry about.

Maybe all the swearing should be saved for in our garages when our zeds won't start or while we come across problems during restorations,I live in the real world as a builder some people
swear some don't, who's wrong , who's right?? When we all join the club we agree to certain rules.
As for do gooders ,they are the people doing good for the CLUB & FORUM  ,without them none of us would be on here now ,we should be grateful for what they do and not moan about them at every chance we get.

As for club member falling maybe its just the lack of Zs now owned or on the road, doubt very much if it has anything todo with wether we can swear not.

My vote NO SWEARING :grouphug:

NOW LETS TALK CARS

Not a victory, just a small amount of decency on a forum open to members of all ages and sexes. I curse at work and in my private life as much as anyone, but I dont put it print. That doesn't make me old fashioned, just wise enough to know better.
If you think the committe are a bunch of do-gooders you dont know us very well! :D

I have to agree with Marco.....

.....Whilst I may use profanities from time to time, I believe that all decent mediums should promote and maintain common decency; without stooping to the lowest levels of society's gutter.

I may be old fashioned myself and, today, in a minority; but I also like to think (like Marco says) I'm wise enough to know better!! I'm not offended by swearing and I do enjoy comedy that others may find offensive; but seeing the actual words in print (and on an internet forum visible to all) really hammers it home.

Best leave the [printed] language of the gutter in the gutter I think; and show that we are above it all......
