I think the owner will just sit at that price for years

yes, the 997 has the over boost thing but the car before was a R35 GTR with 650BHP.... I wish it was a clock instead of a lap timer, it's quite useless

I haven't been in the back of a Capri or Escort for many many years, and have never been in the rear of a 280zx! so cant comment.

However, the 2+2 I've had for 22 years  and yes, i love the sunroof too, as far as rear seats are concerned, 6 yr old fine, up to around 11, 12 maybe will be Ok, after that its a bit tight, and adults, well, maybe one across the whole seat, two with short legs and knees under their chins ;)

I initially brought the 2+2 for the same reason, kids, but have since grown to actually prefer it to a 2 seater, there's far less of them around, especially RHD UK ones, in reality its approx 12 inches longer, so its no barge, whatever the hater's might say.

If i can only have one Z, it will always be the 2+2, yes I'd have a 2 seater, but only if it was free! if i had money to spend on another car, it would be a 510 or maybe a 620 retromod truck :D or a toyota celica!

he thinks the plate is worth a lot, the car needs an MOT before he could transfer it he told me

I have WLZ260 of the DVLA cheaply sale the other day, it would serve me right not to end up in a 260 but 280..... I cart before the horse

Rob, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I bet it's a wreck - it looks like it's had a front end shunt to me. Also any S30 stored outside uncovered will be suffering from severe rot. It's cheap for a reason. Of course my opinion and def worth a look.

I chatted to the guy, it was in a shed but it collapsed, the car was full of water but it held it in. It's been outside but not sure how long. If I buy a US car this is great for dash and steering rack, hey I know a 2 sunroof guy that needs a roof (it does look rusty at the back roof). I will look if I get the chance but I'm not a lucky guy. Did I tell you the story about a buying a JDM car and it getting flooded before they shipped it

It was sold to the first buyer :-( it was a 260Z not a 280Z so my plate would have worked... There is a guy on the 911UK forum that his last 3 Porsche's has needs completely new engine rebuilds so I must put it into perspective

I can only say good things about the 2+2 as I own one.

Space in the back is fine for the kids and adults can fit with a squeeze. When driving it, you would never know the difference as every part in front of you is the same.

I have also never had a single person outside of the Z community point out that its a 2+2 as you never see more than one in the same place to compare. In fact 90% of people think its a 240Z which is even more inaccurate!

Mine wasn't too bad rust wise as I had the body sorted and painted a couple of years ago and since took it off the road to modify it "slightly". I have then spent the past year cutting out rust hidden all over the place, chassis rails as well as inside panels where rain has sat over the years.
It will be worth it when done but it looked great before we started really cutting into it so I dread to think how bad one would be that has visible rot.

    good to hear

So a workmate is looking at a car in LA for me now. It looks quite cheap and is a runner. I had better work out what I need to do to ship it home. I'm out there for work next week so it looks like its happening.

    Congats on the purchase

I've personally used CFR Rinkens as have a number of other people, they'll get the car across the pond for you. You'll need the vehicle title and bill of sale, assuming its drive able then hopefully your mate can even drive it down to the docks for you to save on transport costs...

yes its a bit rough but drives, I have the title and hand written bill of sale...

    I suppose putting a 370z gearbox in the boot is a no-no
