Hi Simon, great news. I've seen you twice before and you have been fast but fragile - third time lucky? I think the issues were gearbox and tyres.

What is your best time on the National circuit 1.19?

Donington National = 1.16.15, should have been a 1.15 but Roberto had a full English breakfast that morning. New Rebello engine now, more torque less power than Geoff's fabulous engine, managed a 1.02 at Silverstone last year on a shakedown test. Gearbox was the problem a few years ago, first one broke in quali, so no fourth gear in the race which I think we came in fourth? After race one we replaced the broken gearbox with a new gearbox, that had a design fault. Always fun in a fast Z.

Final reminder that discounted club ticket offer ends this Sunday at 5.00PM and also if anyone needs an additional infield pass so they can park with the rest of the cars I will need to know before then so I can let the organisers know. They will not let anyone have a pass after this time.

One last thing, I have a spare 3 day weekend ticket and infield pass available if anyone knows of anyone who fancies coming FOC to a worthy recipient...let me know, cheers

Impressive time!

The car's road-holding appears to be it's strength to me - it looks so 'well planted' when cornering. However my videos of it in 2013 are on the pit straight.

While the weather at Donington for the weekend doesn't look too horrific, we aren't having a good start around here! It's currently raining and snowing large flakes. And research tells me the gritters have been out.

Looks like I might be bringing a bucket and car shampoo with me tomorrow (and some salt remover spray)!

Yep weather quite encouraging for tomorrow - good because 'her indoors' is coming with me and meeting some more of my family at the circuit.

Sunday there will just be me and my boots.

I'll be there whatever. It's just our location here close to the Peak District puts me at added risk of salted roads at the mo - which will not put me in a good mood during the drive!

Looks like it'll be M6, A50 for me tomorrow am, avoiding the higher local routes into Derbyshire.

Not a great start here either, I'm currently lying on our living room floor having had a bloody awful back spasm whilst packing the car. Can't move without huge pain in lower back, not happy at all.

Ibrprofen, Co-Codamol and Ibuleve cream got me through that once.
