Yes, it is a bit clean and purposeful. Puts mine to shame and it's not as if the car is a 'trailer queen'.

Chopped up from a Honda CRX induction kit off of eBay which I believe is now discontinued based on conversation I've since had.
I did it the other way round, with straight silicone hose from the airbox to the radiator and a standard 90 degree aluminium tube to turn through the rad support panel. No special parts required.Yeh, that's what i was afraid of, the only ones Ive been able to find over the last few months are in the US, with postage its £40 for a bit of pipe.
I was thinking of getting an exhaust place to make me one up, but I'd have to have all the other bits in place, and even then it may well cost the same or more anyway.
This type of thing would do me - ok no comments please. Function first.

Another vote for the Mishimoto radiator. Really high quality, fit and forget. I also got their hoses which are very nice, albeit a bit pricey!

Yes indeed to both

No doubt caused by previous owners using weak or no corrosion inhibitors in their coolant.
"best" would probably be Evans waterless but for most that's over kill.
I use this stuff with a little cheap silicate antifreeze

To flush, take the rad hoses off and the block drain and run a hose through it every which way. Same for the rad.
Don't forget the heater matrix"best" would probably be Evans waterless but for most that's over kill.

TBH any of them are OK, but they don't mix well - oats and silicates mixed will precipitate out the silicates and block stuff up.
Never dumb if you don't know!Dumb question - what is that?
Buy the cheap one.Wow, that article has blown my mind. I pretty much always thought coolant was coolant. Not sure I am any further forward on what I should go buy on Amazon or at Halfords.
