Massive Thanks.....

It was incredible to witness. From the moment I (eventually) got there it was like I'd known everyone for ages. It was a whopping great family with a collection of the finest Z's in the kingdom. The locals who started off quite curious and ended up being genuinely interested in the motors. Derek created a magical thing and I am so, so glad to have been there. Good times. (Even the 12 miles of walking, with forest section).

The great news is after Derek putting his shorts on and threatening to show the warden one of his goolies they have decided to have us back again next year in September again

He was packing up just after things kicked off, and I asked him why he was leaving, then tried to blag a bottle of bacardi before he left (but that's a different story)

he advised that he was "told" to leave, One man and his dog I suppose. :unsure:
 
I've already thought about the bar and there won't be one. I had to obtain the Local Authority Licence therefore I am the one responsible. I thought the landlord I obtained was bright enough not to serve minors however I was mistaken so it's down to me. It will not happen again.
 
You can't blame yourself Derek, just one of those things.

To be honest, I thought the barman was bright enough, and the kids were probably high on their own stuff.
 
They were heard at the bar asking what was the strongest stuff he had and I believe they were sold it also agree that they were high on their own stuff as well
 
If someone is asking for the strongest stuff, that's fooked up and should never be honoured,

and any barman should put his integrity before any profit margins.

Well done to Derek for putting on an excellent event!....Although we only arrived on Saturday evening, we still had a great time on the night.. and on Sunday too!...Must take my ZX as well next year though!:cheers:

Brillant news about next year - Derek you are a star

probably best about the bar next year - shame as it worked really well for a lot of us.

Hope it will be worth while for the catering guy to come back - even if he can talk the hind legy off a donkey!
 
excellent work derek, i will be taking the car to this next year and hopefully some others from over here.
as regards the bar, maybe not dismiss the whole idea just because of the lack of judgement of the barman this year, although i wuould say our gate crashers had other stuff,
but next year lets make sure it stays as a private event for zclub members, friends, guests,
