Too many names to list for thank you's but an extra special mention to Derek and Steve without whom Zedfest would not have been what it was! It doesn't bother me what happened on Saturday night and it shouldn't bother anyone else, it was caused by a very few misbehaved youngsters who were there to cause trouble, you will never stop that ;) The only people they made fools of were themselves.

Saying that, well done to Derek for securing the venue for next year (you must have balls of steel, although we can only speak for one of them :D )

A superb weekend and a resounding success! Also thanks for the extra effort re my birthday party, it made me feel special :D

APOLOGIES but I have had to edit/delete some threads in this post due to receiving a written complaint.

Regardless of our opinions of those people not attending with the ZClub, they are still people, and perhaps if the actions and comments of a few people (myself included - I am not above reproach) on the Friday evening were avoided, this situation may have been avoided.

After speaking to many people regarding the events of Saturday, I have managed to piece together a pretty good picture of what occured(and why/how etc), and not everyone is blameless.

I never got to know the "shed- dwellers" or however they were referred, but I am pretty sure that had I myself not listened to the opinions of others. I may have had a completely different opinion of these people.

some members of this forum did just that, and got to know the people and became their friend. Due to these comments these members may not return to ZClub.net.

Perhaps we should all (myself included - I am not above reproach) should try to get to know people before forming an opinion.
 
Just to qualify,

THIS IS NOT A DIG/ATTACK on any specific person, and I know why the reactions of some were as they were.

Please remember, that when we attend an event that is on Public land, we are there representing the ZClub, and this kind of behavior can only lead to a bad reputation, (regardless of whether the troubles were caused by a ZCLub member or not.)

This does actually bring up a very improtant club matter - we need a club statement to the effect of "Anyone bringing disrepute to the club will be reprimanded appropriately.... blah blah"

We need a professional image and non of us want to be tainted by the few who choose to spoil it for everyone else
