Oh you're gettin fresh ! Nice one.

How about applying that to the 'BRE' car, no front wing stripes....pretty please ?

Sean, please be more specefic about your wishes, do you prefer metallic or not, light dark or medium color?

I have been doing some thinking and have found the right color for just you.

Chris

BTW search CZCC for a menber "sarto" or "jsarto" something like that, he have a two tone Z gun metal over silver.

I'm struggling to get a metallic look, but it won't work imo.

I had a 2+2 in this colour scheme it was reputed to be a Samuri, reg no was LVJ 18P I have some picks of it somewhere. Last I heard of the car it was sold to a guy in North Wales who was going to break it & use the special bits on his car.

It isn't easy Chris.....or I wouldn't be proposing some nice bottles - as it is I think that several people are going to benefit and it's worth it to me because this colour change (if it is that) will remain for a long time.

Probably metallic (Daves' gold is pretty good), light colour above and not necessarily darker below.

Not dark colours that absorb the light and don't help to show off the lines in the body panels.

Could be one colour with another colour (s?) to highlight the lines....(like my ex-green one with silver 'piping').

This is a great gold but I'm not sure about the red :

Gwyn - your famous DJR boring-blue was first seen on an MGB roadster...........:D so NO !

But pace yourselves - don't wear our your energies too soon - a Z is for endurance....we're not there yet.

If you go two tone, put the darkest color on top.

I know it's a tuff decision, i have been trying to find just the correct silver for my roadster for more than a year, finally decited on Datsun / Nissan 549, some paint is on its way and i cant wait to spray a sample piece.

Back to the Z, one of the colors on my wish list is a dark blue Peugeot color, not all dark colors hide the lines, this is one of them and it will be a perfect match to my butterscotch interior,
Just like this POS :p

And what kind of bottles are we talking about, hand over and i show you THE color.

Chris

The Pug blue is too close to DJR boring blue and I've seen bronze Zs before....the acid yellow is too modern.

Bottles ? Trust me.

The escort in green...........

The Camino is gorgeous..........always remembering that some forms suit some colours...but we haven't explored placements of colours yet - the colour that creeps over the front wings and maybe the bonnet, and perhaps outlining the rear haunches and bonnet bulge.....

Okay Sean, you don't want it red, nor dark blue, not to modern, orange is out of the question, black will hide the lines, white is to close to the piss yellow you have now and you had a green once, go for it frog.
If you want it metallic

Fkcu....I posted an entire epic here and lost the connection.....!

A lot of TVR metallics look great, some purples too (yes I know dark but with some silver highlighting as per the haunches.....or gold.....not sure about that last).

Chris - I'm married and she's said NO green so you're up to a free can of cola of your choice but need to do better for the vintage stuff ! Having said that, grren as one colour, perhaps khaki or olive might get past the scrutineer.

I'm not quite under the thumb but the paint budget goes through 'easier' if she's involved and listened to.
