Blimey, didn't realise that it's been nearly a year since I updated this thread
I confess not a lot has been done since then. Not having a garage any more is a major disadvantage, and isn't helped by the fact next door's cats sh*t underneath my car (don't ask how I found that out).
The little b*stards have also scratched up the paint on the bonnet and tops of the wings. It seems they only do that if I have the cover on because they stretch out and claw at it so the car is now exposed to the elements, hopefully it's the lesser of two evils but not happy about the situation.
The fuel pump was vibrating like a mad thing so ended up bracing both sides of the bracket, might end up making a totally different one depending how well mk 2 fares.
Also have fitted power steering now which turned out to be more long winded than anticipated when the unit turned up out of calibration.

I got given a bright pink catch can off a friend's R33 so ended up modding that with stainless steel mesh inside, a filter and wider bore connectors outside, and of course a new coat of paint! Made a bracket for it so it bolts on the engine block where the AC compressor would be.
Also welded an O2 sensor bung into the exhaust and installed an AFR wideband gauge but haven't taken any pics of that. Ended up re-doing the carb linkage and fuel hoses again too. Next on the agenda is to fiddle with the alignment of the passenger door which I already know is bent and really needs to be replaced, I've made up a couple of shims so hopefully they will help it fit better.
