Yes, its really skilled, Dave is nailing it, can't imagine how many hours you have to put into metalworking skills to make what he does look as easy as he does.Fantastic craftsmanship!
Yes, it well past the point of no return so not got much choice. I have just accepted that I will have no money for anything until its done.I don't know how you manage to sleep at night with what this must be costing you.
I guess you’re past the point of no return by now though.
Yes, highly skilled, great to watch.Absolutely incredible skilled bodywork.
Make sure 'Dave' is healthy and content in his job - to lose him would be a disaster.
I would have to concur. Definitely a metalworking wizard.Dave seems to know what he's doing. The man's a genius.
I am not aware of any replacement panels that are available that I didn't use.
I any had been available that I did not know about it would have been helpful is someone could have pointed me in that direction. I didn't get many options when I asked at the start of the restoration for help finding panels so I assumed there were as few available as I managed to find myself.
Thanks. But thankfully I do not need any more panels for the remainder of the work that I do not already have and by March the metalwork will be complete. Not that you must have many panels left, but KF Vintage are releasing some new S30 panels in March 22 - may be worth dropping them a message to see if anything you need is coming your way?
Yes, very busy, over 800 hours now.
My Plans of having this back to build up in the summer are likely gone, can't see this being on the road until 2023 now as I will be taking a pause from work shortly as I have no money left. It will still be back with me this year, so will be aiming for early Summer net year for on the road.
Tell me about it.That makes me feel a little bit sick!
I should have worded that better. I will definitely still be working, I even have two rooms rented out in my house to try and help. No, its the car that work will stop on soon. Hopefully after the rear end metal work is complete leaving only a few jobs on the front end.Do you mean 'IT' will be taking a pause from work - I assume you are still working?
And is the car leaving Dave and being transported back to Ireland?
Don't worry, it will be completed, and properly, and by Dave, just a later than ideal completion. I expect once its out again it will be worked through to completion. That upsets me - so much has gone into this car.
