Oh shyt - caught be the internet police - hands up - I dunnit. But I swear I don't think I've ever seen a Euro 240Z with factory paint other than in flat colours...

Euro Z ? Changing the goalposts but still not credible.
Stop digging and admit you just had a senior moment EXTRA:D
You’ve never seen a UK market Silver 240Z in the UK ? I know of at least a couple of 113 green cars around and what about Samuri, they half qualify with their Rootes brown metallic ;)

I admitted - first sentence.

I don't notice silver Zs - they look like any other Ford in the supermarket carpark - boring colour.

Better not go back to 901 Silver then with the SA car if it doesn’t get your seal of approval ;)
What does the peanut gallery think about Aston Racing Green, always thought that may look good on an S30 or am I just being seduced by the car ?

To me, silver is nice with the red interior. Otherwise it's a bit ...

The Safari Gold is a great colour. The problem with a 'modern' orange is just that, it's a modern colour. I'd much prefer a less bright 'blacker' orange if that makes sense.

I love that chalky off-white, nearly grey colour I've seen on a Z (once I think) ... it's not even high gloss from memory.

I love that colour but its way more suited to 50's & 60's cars which have beautiful curves, sadly I just can't see it working on a Z myself.

I think most pastel colours look fantastic on these cars, metallic doesn't seem to do it in the same way for me. I'd be inclined to go with Safari Gold, its. fantastic colour and very unusual in the UK. Silver has and always will just look boring to me....

Safari Gold was my original preference but
her indoors was not too keen and put me off. Her reasoning ‘it’s a bit in your face and screams look at me’ And her point is ? People are going to look at a Z anyway, whatever the colour was my reply. Although she may technically have a half share, she won’t be driving it so maybe I need to man up and go with my first instinct. Keeps it factory so no nagging doubts about compromising originality.

I don’t think it’s nearly as shouty as the other colours you said. It’s more refined if anything.

So man up and go for it. Just remind her how lucky she is to have a husband who wants a safari gold car and not an orange one

Safari Gold is such a great colour. I had a '71 MGB in Harvest Gold which looking back, wasn't nearly so nice. In fact I repainted it Primrose Yellow, which was a bit nicer.

Wasn't one of the factory colours on the 70-71 cars a light yellow?

I'd just say its a very tasteful period colour, shouty compared to the modern colour choices these days (White, Black, Silver) maybe but not in terms of a classic like the Z.

People will be looking anyway, just man up and just deal with the consequences :p (There's still perks to being single)

Quasimodos' car ?

Everybody ripped into me for my Primrose yellow Z.

Under 40 to drive a 50yr old car ? Explain me the reasoning there please.

Chris - compromise !

Keep the interior discreet and black for her and paint the outside for you. She wears lary clothes anyway so where's the prob ?

Lary clothes or Larry’s clothes ? It’s ‘ lairy ‘ Sean, but we’ll make allowances for you :jester:

Wouldn’t mind about her not liking Safari Gold but she had an Inca Yellow MG Midget when I met her of which I just reminded her :EXTRAlol:
