When I last insued the Z it cost £92. Just had a quote of £353. Has insurance gone up that much or is this just n expensive quote? What's the rest of you paying?
 
Adrian Flux who were at Jap Fest !! and they insure alot of the club members and as Rob says about half what you are paying but go limited mileage and depends on your history !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sp 50s etc etc
 
I dream of insurance that only costs £353. I'm with Adrian Flux with all mods disclosed and no accidents/points etc and it's three times that much!!

FJ have taken over Aon who I had been with for years & over that time Aon had upped my mileage from 3k to 6k to unlimited at no extra cost but now the renewal has come through for £182 I've decided to go with Adrian Flux at £130 & 3k mileage limit. Lancaster was about the same.:driving:
 
Thanks for the info. Thats without any "no claims discount" and an old sp20. From what I recollect, most of the classic car insurances want to see a standard car (ie. original steel wheels) and how many of us have that?

I'll have a ring around, just wanted to get a feeling as to what others were paying.

Standard car for me with AF was £120, so I'm paying a tenner for Woolfies, 6 branch exhaust, triples, lowered suspension & vented discs.

Well I've told FJ all about my car. In fact when I was ringing around for quotes and said my car was 'bored and stroked' one girl found that quite amusing :p
 
Adrian Flux cancelled my policy without notice on one of my bluebirds, resulting in a Tug on the Mway and the car impounded. £500 later I had the car back.And an IN10 on the licence. BASTARDS

I have both Zs with Footman James, and don't pay more than £300 for either, limited mileage.

Between the 2 I can get a full years mileage. LOL
 
just got my renewal £202 with agreed value and unlimited mileage from footman james and breakdown cover aswell included !!!
