Try looking under Triumph TR6 as they're the same PCD That's what mine were bought for

Don't forget when measuring a rim it'll measure 7" if it's a 6" rim. They're always 1/2" more each side for tyre

Guys thanks for all the info here !
Fantastic response so thanks.
As you probably gather I'm a new 240Z owner. Bought the car 8 weeks ago from Sydney and its just been shipped over and is at Fourways for some work. Joined the club last night.
Not fussed about Auz originality. Just glad its a very original RHD car and intend to keep it that way. Will probably go for the 14 x 6 Wolfrace given that what seems to look most original and most seem to indicate that. Havent seen any 14x7's and I'm a bit worried 15x7's will look a bit more up to date.
Anyway Ill post some photos when I get it back. For those interested Fourways took a few shots on their Facebook page.
Thanks again Albert

Make sure it gets a good check over as cars from Sydney can be prone to rust if not looked after

Can't speak to the Australian cars but most of my original U.S. 240Z cars were fitted with 14X6j slot mags of different makers back in the day. The dealers just went out and picked a slot mag that was near the dealership and added their dealer mark-up to make more money on the cars. I think you will find that Datsun rarely if ever fitted anything other than steel wheels and hub caps to the 240Z line up.

True....and a whole lot more besides....and if you were on the waiting list or wanted one badly - you paid the mark-up or lost out to the next guy (or gal).

Nissan only ever supplied the cars stock outside of Japan - there was no option list 'til much later (thinking of the 5spd box on the 280Z)....even the later 240Z airco units were only ever fitted by the dealers.

My understanding is that the 'Wolfrace' brand wasn't created until 1971. Its interesting how the 'mag' reference has been retained. Mag is an abbreviation of 'magnesium' which was the material used on some racing/high performance cars during the post war period. I gather the material did have some significant disadvantages and was largely replaced by the alloys found in many post '70 wheels.

I've got a couple of early Wooflrace slots in my garage which are of an early Z. They are 6x14 and are fitted with 195/70R14 tyres.

My Old White 240Z had 6x7 Wolfrace with 195/70/14's on, they really suit them :driving:

Around 1983 as I bought it, on 6x14 Wolfrace, note the Z Club Badge on the grill and windscreen

No external rear view mirrors! Just as I remember my own cars in the mid-70's. Not sure but seem to recall that a single door (or wing) mirror was though required by the American Market even on early cars.

I see from the Wolfrace website that their wheels were first exported to Australia in '73. It was 1977 that Wolfrace wheels were first supplied as original equipment for Reliant. Probably explains why many of the wheels that come up for sale are described as 'to fit Reliant Scimitar or Datsun 240/260Z.

A very good spot

Even after I had it restored I didn't put any mirrors on, something tells me it did need one for its MOT as I remember buying a small one that I clamped to the windscreen pillar at MOT time.

There seem to be a lot more 14 x 6's on Ebay etc.
Havent seen any 14x7's or 15x7's.
Are they difficult to find ?

I know where there is a set of 7" x14 Wolfrace available to buy. They have been on a 240or 260 so correct offset etc.
