Japfest and things of that ilk are a different order of magnitude though, and gain momentum from the inter-club component, i.e. joint Z Club/300ZX/350Z stand. Along with greater variety of activities, most especially track action. Donington Historic likewise, with Z Club/Z Register support and track activity (plus central location).
Tatton is a regional/local show (albeit a very large one). The core issue is a loss in participation/impetus on a local level. Something echoed across the country for all sorts of factors, like those I mentioned above. It's just the way it is. Sad, because I have some memory of how it used to be (and it was already in decline by the time I got into the Z scene), but if people have other things they'd rather do, can't be ar$ed, etc., so be it. Tatton's had its day (along with most other local/regional events where we might've had a Z Club only stand).
I'll get the Tatton forms next year as usual mailed to me, but if interest is weak, I won't bother booking a stand. I've kept it on life support for the last few years at my time (chasing people up) and expense (postage costs). Can't be bothered anymore.
