Sean if you mean Tony D in the U.S. Then he swears by them but he's happy to endlessly tinker and is in a minority.
It maybe my comfort zone and the fact that I've had a lot more experience on SU's (or Hitachi copies) but I know which I would rather work with.
The question of trader is a tricky one. I have another income a full time ish job. I've bought some cars that I love and I may sell a few. At what point do I become a trader? . How many people on here inform the tax man if they sell a car for more than they pay for it?
Yes Sean, you have first dibs.

A mate of mine who works in the city seams to change his cars every month. He is a trader but on the stock exchange and I don't think he declares if he sells a car for more than he pays for it. Hard to prove !it's the point where you buy to sell, Which you're doing,

Not really sure what your angle is Franky but I would like to make it clear am not a car dealer. I never have been and never will be. I have an IT business and we also have a retail business. These are both registered businesses and one is limited. I have been into zeds for a long time and consider it my main hobby. I recently found myself in a position that I could afford to buy a few from California. It started with one and then escalated to five before I run out of money. When people ask me what I'm going to do with 7 zeds then my answer is I'd like to restore and keep them all. The reality is I wont be able to do this but I'd like to keep as many as I can. I recently sold one because I had stretched myself too far and didn't really have much choice. I may regret it but it done now. I've been at Terry's today, looking at the collection and trying to figure out how I can keep them all and not end up divorced. The orange one I collected today may well be the car that brings Sue round to realising zeds are nice cars and allowing me not to sell any more.
Do I sound like a car dealer who is buying cars to make a living? or one that is just getting caught up in an obsession?
She doesn't run Sean
Put some petrol in it today as the tank was empty and then went through the usual start up procedure. Crossed 2 fingers on both hands ,said a short prayer, pump the throttle several times just for good measure, then turn the key. Fires up pretty much straight away then dies. You can coaxe it for a few seconds with the throttle but it still dies.
Had a read up on the carbs so may have another go tomorrow or just push it into a corner and play with another from the collection.
Any ideas?
Its pumping lots of fuel at the carbs.
