Z only track sessions

I did 500 miles in five evenings after school breaking in a 50cc Aprilia at less than 30 mph so I could have it derestricted on the Saturday :D That's four hours riding backroads doing the same 5 or so mile loop every night :) Thing was mental when I first got on it after derestriction :D

Your best bet is to plan a 3000 mile road trip down through France and across and back up :D
 
pmsl :D must admit a trip to and around cornwall looks in order although it's a long way to go if you get any problems :D
 
I did 500miles in about 4 evenings breaking my Turbo engine in, just keep checking everything and driving round in circles get's abit boring.
 
steve can you see if you could get the organisers to let me tag on the back of one of the Z only sessions.
I could only do 4 laps tops before running out of fuel and would be quite happy just sitting at the back of the group.

Due to the early response to this I phoned up Jap fest to see about booking up the two track sessions and the possibility too see if we could have a third session

Unfortunately the guy who deals with it all dosn't come back to work until Monday but the lady said as it was so early she thought there would be a very good chance that we could get a third session

Will have too wait to next week before I can find out

I'll a little more scared of my car getting broken this year, any idea how much insurance would be roughly for reasonable cover for both sessions anyone?

I paid Churchill £27 for Donnington 2007. Aon who I'm insured with said if I had done a track day before I could do 4 per year with them at no extra cost but they wouldn't do a 1 off.
 
That's cheap and worth doing then. If anyone has experience of track day insurance maybe we can get a group buy on it? Insure a bunch of us who're interested?

From memory though I think there was a large excess to pay.

These are the first 20 to add their names almost filling up the first two sessions

We are phoning up next week to confirm we will have the two sessions and too find out if we can book a third session of a further 20 places

Once we have confirmed that we have the track sessions and what the final cost will be we will be asking for full payment by a certain date and if payment is not received by that date the next person on the list will be contacted to take the the place
 
I'll go for a 3rd session if it comes off! It'll give my lads an opportunity to drive too.

It might be worth asking about adding it to your full years policy when it's up for renewal. Mine includes track day cover (as long it is a club organised event, and not a competitive race), and I'm sure it didn't make any difference to the cost. If it did, it was a tiny amount.
