Why hasn't someone slapped him

big problem with FI is that the coverage dose not show enough of the lesser teams racing wheer it is a lot closer performance wise

but I digress still thing that Hamilton needs a serious slap and a course in social skills

You are right Steve for sure about Hamilton, There can't be many who's opinion hasn't changed from 'top bloke who likes a good race' too ...cocky c%nt with a lot of dosh.
I suppose it begs the question..how many of us wouldn't turn into a nob given half the chance.
I consider myself reasonably grounded but driving one of those cars for a million quid a race I reckon I could turn into a bigger pr*ck overnight without realising it??
Sean, ............if the racing was better...........
Do you not think racing of any form of motorsport (Bikes aside as I have no knowledge)
has been strangled over the years? possibly to preserve lives for sure but ultimately it has made the public look at it (and I mean the general public) uninterested nowadays.
Rember when you were a kid watching the black johnny walker special F1 car and the others in a grand prix???
It was insane....that high octane ,brute force racing has been replaced by technology ( i know they had tech then) and that makes the world champion f1 driver nowadys a small cog in the machine instead of the bloke who drove those mental cars .

to be honest i find F1 boring ,thats why they keep changing it.i prefer qualifying as it is better than the race
the JPS black Lotus car always stood out for me as a kid ,love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i miss all the crashes at the begining of the race:devil:

John player special... not Johnny Walker, Thanks for the heads up Moggy.
Just looked at an old video... the back wheels nearly met in the middle and when you actually watch they could hardly put their foot down anywhere other than a long straight without hurling themselves off the track the cars were so bonkers.

I think there is too much emphasis on aerodynamics. As a consequence the cars are much too fussy especially with those crazy front wings, too fragile and it's too difficult to see the extremities.

There are too many incidents associated with the front wings.

To make it more exciting they come up with an idea to reduce the downforce at certain places on the circuits.

Lets have simpler cars which can take the odd coming together so that 'racers' aren't so stifled.

I enjoy watching Hamilton racing to be honest but like Mansell he can be too aggressive for his points tally.

But I liked watching Mansell.....perhaps as Throttleton suggested, it's not the characters, it's the era and Rob, yes, aerodynamics and fragile cars !

It's the same thing that happens to kids in any profession (for want of a better word) who find themselves at the top (ish) of their game. When I was 18 £400 was so much money I couldn't carry it around in my pocket... When Hamilton was a rookie at the same age I'd imagine £400 would have been pocket change, same with the likes of Rooney and others you could care to mention.

The money has gone to their heads, to be honest if I was looking at a 5 or 6 figure bank balance at that age it would have gone to mine too...
