Wheel dollies

Since my garage isn't that large I thought I'd invest in some wheel dollies so I can slide the Datsun around giving me more space on the side of the car I want to work on.

I bought these 4 from SGS Engineering for the current sale price of £65.95.

Bargain!

They look like a bargain. I wouldn't even have space to make use of these.

I'd have some but the garage is carpeted, so I doubt they'd be too easy to use. It's hard enough moving the pool table about :D

That's a great bargain I think, so I've bought some, cheers for the link! They'll come into their own for me when I'm doing stuff to it in the winter and I want to move it around my (large) single garage without the hassle of physically starting it after opening the doors etc, moving the car usually parked behind the doors etc ...

They haven't arrived yet! I'll let you know when they do.

The specs match all the others I've seen for twice the price. In fact they look identical to some of them...

I've got a set of these. Quality is good. Can't use them for the moment thought as my jack doesn't lift the car high enough off the ground to allow them under the tyres once the suspension has dropped! Doh!

Thanks for confirming they aren't made out of chocolate :)

I've yet to find out if my jack lifts high enough!

That is what I use to sit the Z on. Good quality and wide enough to take the 11 inch tyres. Only down side is when you walk down the side of the car and forget the trolleys sticking out a little bit. Just the right height for the bony bit of the ankle

That sounds like experience Ben!! How easy is the car to move around once on these?

That's a good point! I think I might wrap the edges with pipe insulation in that case...

I made the mistake of buying the ones that jack the tyre off the ground so you can wheel it about but you can't use them in tight spaces

got a set of these which I use in my workshop to move my cars around and there brilliant, very easy to move the car round when in tight spaces. You wont be disappointed guy's.

Ah, that's interesting. I was thinking of getting those myself. But I decided I didn't want to spend that much. You've put my mind at rest now!

That's just what I wanted to hear :)

I've got those exact ones, work great. Came from Germany

Would prefer rubber wheels but for the money can't go wrong

We once lifted a 310r in the air between 3 of us while the 4th fixed something that fell off underneath.

This one is all carbon fibre but the heavier engine and roll cage means that overall mine is probably only slightly lighter than stock.

oddly, I was looking at skates this morning and contemplating a purchase to shift the car about.
Thanks for sharing - these SGS items are a great price! Purchased.....
