I will post pictures via photobucket but here is one I wanted to take of my car because I have a print in my lounge of M Schumacher in an F1 Ferrari at the same place. Similarity - both cars are red

It will - he's always positive. A busted dizzy - twice now so I think he has his eye on the Kameari shop and a rev limiter............

But a bummer because we were due to be together at Vigeant this weekend and now I'm all alone with his free track pass and no-one to give it to !
 
Yes, Sylvain is a great guy and a real joker! I have concerns about his car, it was smoking really badly. His crankcase breather had come out so he was getting oil on the exhaust but.........

He was driving really quickly, the video doesn't show that but the revs might give you an idea. He was flying considering the ignition problem.

Anyway I've got my fingers crossed for him. :thumbs:

hé hé... the car is back at home; it was at same place where i left it last WE... just waiting for dady!

while testing, the engine sounded a few second and no smoke (with the sticked breather).. I am not upset for the engine, and breather break has no link with ignition issue; problems allways fly in group!

the issue itself is located.
the drive between crank and distributor is in cause.
Cam Distribution timing is ok.
in 2 weeks, strip down of distribution housing... and every body out!
Kameari tensionner is already there + I have to get the distributor that goes with ;=)


The distributor will make the time table... because I don't mount back this ZX one that killed two season of play

Now, i will be able to play safely at my favorite rev ;)

Sean, I also miss Nürburgring in 2 weeks... fight against friends with M series, GT3 and GTR; cannot put a rev limiter!

No smoke while running, no lubrification issue has been seen while openning the engine... life time warranty!

Due to openning, I profited to fit some waiting gadgets like a oil temp sensor in the sump and kameari chain tensionner.... and of course, the root cause parts, a new distributor drive on the crank + corresponding shaft with teeth this time ;)

I should have been to Nürbürgring with guys with GTR and GT3 this WE... probably a good point for the engine to miss this date ;)

What a boring video Sylvain, it was more fun when it was smoking and back-firing ;).

Very glad you got it fixed ok! Do you think the 'dodgy' rotor-arm jammed the distributor causing the gears to strip?

I have pictures and video of Datsun France members at Spa, shall I send you a CD?

The Spa Classic is currently being featured on Motors TV by the way. It shows the Datsun France Club area at the start and a little way in the film. They say the Classic will be back in 2012.

If anyone can send Sylvain or I a link to that part of the Motors TV emission detailing the stand, we'd be very grateful.

And if I haven't already done so (?) I'd like to thank all those from the UK who attended and we look forward to receiving you next year for the same event.........and LM Classic ;) !
