Shiny Bits

I normally shy away from the plethora of snake oil products out there for car detailing. Most just smell pretty and don't do what they say on the tin/tube/bottle etc. However I was very pleased with this stuff I got to make my shiny car bits shiny. For once the claims on the bottle seem to deliver and then some. Britemax Final Shine Metal Polish and Sealant. I have always used Autosol in the past, but the Britemax stuff gave a far superior finish.

Before (which I thought was shiny)

After (really shiny)

If you want to have a look at the blurb on it :

I can vouch for this stuff.

Tried a bit on one of my dull alloys whilst I was round Huw's a week ago and the difference was considerable even without too much elbow grease. Much better than Autosol.

Will be getting some soon.

Frosts also have some other good stuff in their product list.

Nnniiiicccceee, that finish looks great, ive always been an Autosol kinda guy, and happy with it, but that stuff really does the business

Good to hear that this product works well.
I have tried other products for several sets of slot mags with only fair results and lots of elbow grease.
Just ordered Britemax easy cut and final shine from Autogeek in the states.

Will let you know how it all works.

Cheers

Huw, have you tried there other product, EasyCut? sounds pretty good also

I've not tried EasyCut yet. I've got some old ali bits for my vintage stuff. Based on the results of the stuff I've used so far I will get some of the EasyCut as they are in pretty poor state.

I've been meaning to get some of this, just I'm too tight to order it separately and pay as much again for postage.

Will have to think of something else to buy at the same time..

Huw, it's been a month or so, how did it last?

Seems to be holding out pretty well so far. Did a fair bit of mileage couple weeks back, just wiped a rag around to remove brake dust and the wheels still looked spankingly shiny. I also normally wait till I have other stuff I need before ordering from Frost as postage isn't cheap.

Before and after.....2 applications of easy cut and 2 applications of final shine. Still good after a month or so.
