New website look, better or worse?

As somewhat of an expert here on tarmacadam - I can tell you that the sample used for photographic display purposes on this site is defintely NOT bang up to date and is suffering seriously from over-exploitation and would (in any ordinarily funded country) be replaced !

Hi Mark,

It's just easier to work with. I run 1680x1050 so I'm wasting a lot of my screen

I found with the old site for some people it looked too bunched, others too wide and washed out. With this I think it sort of looks tidier. I've been looking at some stats, the most common res is 1024 but closely followed by 1280 (what with everyone going to lcd now) so maybe next year I'll size it up again

I think the plan is to cycle the colour scheme annually to keep it fresh

That is because you are not a red member and half the website including private messages, e-mail signature etc,etc is restricted to paid up members only

Would only cost you £20 a year or 5p a day to become a member
