Thankyou for this I will have a read up when I get to the point where I have to start purchasing partsWhen you come to source your carbs and if you are considering reinstating twin SUs, just be wary of the condition of them. Most are over 40 years old and are more than likely worn out. Some are advertised as restored but again this could be misleading as most have had things like needles and gaskets but not the throttle shaft bushes or butterfly valves. These are the bits that wear out and they won't run properly if they are sucking in air. Getting bits for Datsun Hitachi carbs is difficult and expensive so you may wish to consider British HS6 SU carbs where all the parts are available. They are fairly simple things to rebuild and tune up. I did a write up on another thread on this forum.
