So, just how good was the previous and young restoration please ?
I’ve spoken to the restorer about the overall condition and he said it’s doesn’t seem that bad. He’s said not to count our chickens before it’s media blasted as that’s when the full reveal will make itself known.

One thing you can count on is that I won’t be hiding anything! You’ll get to see it warts and all. Like the title of this thread states, I’m making DIL great again

If I’m being honest, I think he built the car to keep so tried his best till his money ran out or realised how expensive it is to do it properly. The finishing was done on a budget hence the overall look wasn’t great. I’m just hoping the money didn’t dry up whilst working on the frame/body. Either way in for a penny, in for a pound or in this case loads of pounds :)

Exactly. I'm new to this forum and 240z's. But I've read every post on his previous thread, and the biggest frustration and disappointment was that he just didn't put up many pics of the work that was alledgedly carried out. Hence the sceptism. Fingers crossed for you

Forget about fingers, I’ve got my toes crossed ;)

I think the rear arches hold the biggest interest for me as they were in a pretty sorry state after all the body kit was removed.

I'm guessing this ain't gonna be pretty ...

Mind you, the poor car wore that shocking 'overcoat' for years, then finally someone rescued it and it must have though - 'I'm saved' ... only for Don to put it through yet more agony. It had a brief fling being 'reborn' but now it's been stripped naked again ... if cars did PTSD.

Looks like this time, it' going to be done right though. :D
