Your certainly flying along with the welding ,are you doing this work yourself ?

keep up the great work shell is looking better already :)
I wish I had that type of skill, I’d be saving myself some serious £‘s
It’s a restoration company who are working full time on it.

Good Luck with this one, but consider your costs. I had 3yrs of bodywork to come back from a similar state of corrosion, I’m no professional but it sucked up literally hundreds of hours.

No idea of cost, they couldn’t commit to a fixed figure as more work has revealed itself as we’ve gone along. I’ve started with the intention of making this great so no point worrying about money now :smoke:

Fair play things in life don't always have to be about money like your thinking ;)

I know I’ll never get back the money I’m going to put into it but that’s only if I’m planning on selling it one day. Considering I’m building it for my 3 year old son, it might we a while before that day comes along. The main thing is I’ll know 100% what shape the car is in, if I’d purchased one that was restored then you’re trusting the restoration to be done correctly. This way I know it is! I need any excuse to convince myself this is going to be worth it:svengo:

I love the fact that you are making the car for your son!!! My two boys 5 & 7 were seriously upset with me when I jokingly suggested selling the Z and turning the garage into their music / fun room / boy den! In their words. They want to drive it “when I die”! ;)

Seriously great work here and as someone already said, she’s very lucky to have been adopted by you! Very much enjoying following this thread - keep ‘em coming!

Some really helpful guy in Canada, British Columbia to be exact. He’s had it in storage for over 25 years! Was having a clear out and decided to put it up for sale. Guess I lucked out.
