Dan, if you become a full 'Z Club Member' £15 you get good deals

Rob he's only had the car one day and you are looking for a subscription.:(

Maybe you could give him a little breathing space??

Is that why you are letting him post a "wanted list" and a "parts for sale" list in the general forum .????
I am after:

Front and rear floor pans, sills, wings (preferably fibreglass), doors (again preferably fiberglass), rear quaters and if anyone knows of one a rear fiberglass hatch although mine is in good condition as it is.

Parts I will have for sale are:

240Z engine (I think? How can I check this)
Gearbox which I woulg guess isn't original as the gear leaver doesnt sit perfectly square in the trans hole.
Original 240z seats with excellent foam, just want recovering.

This car will be stripped of all its running gear and interior apart from dash. If you need anything just drop me a pm!
What happened to the 7 day rule that you and the rest of the committee were supposed to be enforcing???

If you're a non-member / website member who's selling, this is how it works:
1. You place your advert as normal, but put that people will need to PM you if they're interested and not post on the advert.
2. Your advert goes to moderation so it can be placed in the members only section by committee (within 24hrs).
3. For the next seven days it is viewable by red / paid up members so club members in need are given a 'head-start / early opportunity' to get their hands on your item/s.
4. After seven days, anyone can see your advert, opening it up to the general public.

This was deemed fair by the committee after it was put to a public poll and the resounding result was for a seven day grace period for full members. This may change in future but for the mean time, that's the system we've put in place. There is no conspiracy here and it's not directed at any members / non-members in particular but something we've been deliberating on for a long while. If you have any thoughts / comments / concerns (that you've not already aired) please PM me and I'll do my best to answer.

If I have to pay a subscription fee to show people what im doing to the car im not particularly interested. If you want me to remove any part of my thread let me know I will.

I may well be interested in paying a subscription should I start turning up to shows but as I probably wont be buying any parts of members anyway I don't see why I should...any other benefits?

'Trader forum'.........can you explain for me please Zedhead, I didn't want to go through my main frp company as the prices I charge would almost double. I wanted to keep the prices affordable for a good product which I can do in my home workshop.

Oh, oh - dangerous path re traders !

Dan - you don't need to be a member to turn up at shows/events and so on - it's a free country...you don't need to be a member to be on this forum but ask yourself why paid-up members should hep you and give you free advice that they've learnt the hard way or been passed on by other membes.....?

The best time to be a member is BEFORE the car is on the road..but like I said, it's a free country.

Guys, we have a chap here who wanted a 240, he's got one that needs a lot of work and has posted his pictures for us to share.

I'm trying to steer him in the right direction and also pointing out the benefits of 'joining up'.

Hey ho, the thread has turned all political again and probably put him off the whole Club.

Thanks!

This is getting very tiresome and in my opinion pathetic. Come along to the AGM in August and discuss (in a civilised manner) your opinions.

Please leave this Thread for Dan to discuss his car.

I used to go out of my way to share my experiences, parts & contacts with everyone, but was shot down by the club & it put the nail in the coffin for a great supply of good quality cars & parts.

Will offer you abit of advise on the above car though get yourself an import in order to save £1000's, hundreds of hours & years trying to find the parts you need to do the car properly. You have some valuable parts there to convert an import into a uk spec rhd car.

This thread shouldnt be about the club but about Dan's car.

Dan just seen your photos, you're one hell of a brave man, I'll take my hat off for you for that and it's got a cool number plate!
